I love what I do!
Are you seeking an uplifting speaker and entertaining storyteller who engages audiences with ease? Are you seeking a speaker and storyteller who loves playing basketball, devouring cheeseburgers, spending time with model trains, swimming laps, and walking at night? If so, let's talk. As in, let's talk soon!
Based in Raleigh, I will travel anywhere to inspire college students, young adults, and established professionals. I offer big picture perspectives derived from determination, discovery, and a professional background that began in Human Resources at SeaWorld, Universal Studios, and the Hilton (Disney Resort).

Elaine Greywalker wrote, “Upbeat and amusing, there was never a dull moment. Underneath that fun exterior were plenty of hard facts and lots of useful information.”
Before you read about my professional experience, I thought I'd share an assortment of challenges I've faced since coming to earth a long, long time ago. At age six, I was the sole witness to my dad’s passing. As childhood progressed, I was bullied, nearly drowned in the ocean, sustained a severe concussion, and miraculously survived a car accident. My first semester of college was a bizarre experience as my roommate almost never slept and repeatedly tried to light me on fire. As an adult, I have learned many invaluable lessons as a job candidate, employee, and entrepreneur. As a “bonus,” I have been challenges by the many unique dynamics that come with ADHD. Despite all that I’ve been through, my ENTHUSIASM and SENSE OF HUMOR are alive and well. I thoroughly enjoy life!
WORKSHOPS & GUEST SPEAKING
While in a career services role at the University of Central Florida, I led seminars on a variety of job search topics at classes, clubs, fraternities, and sororities. My passion for making a difference in the lives of youth led to a nomination as a Student Affairs Outstanding Employee of the Year Finalist. As a Career Consultant with a global outplacement firm, I facilitated one and two-day career transition workshops designed for professionals whose employment had been impacted by downsizing. This role allowed me to fully utilize my blended style of delivery while inspiring humans that were going through significant change.
I've been blessed to have the opportunity to inspire large and small audiences as a guest speaker at career expos, colleges, and conferences. A sampling includes the following: Capital Area Workshop Development, Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau, Duke University, North Carolina State University, Parata Systems, Raleigh Convention & Visitors Bureau, Triangle Solutions Alliance, Wake County Lifelong Learning Adult Education, United Way, Wake Tech Community College, and the YMCA.
My Bachelor of Arts was earned at Western Illinois University. Through CPP, Inc., I am certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator.
