Dan Galloway is an inspirational speaker who uses engagement, enthusiasm, and humor to make a difference. Dan has inspired late teens, college students, recent graduates, and established professionals to embrace their uniqueness and catch their dreams. Dan offers a big-picture perspective that hails from a diverse background as a career consultant, entrepreneur, in-house recruiter, and job candidate.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Public Communication & Human Relations at Western Illinois University, he made a bold move to Orlando without a job offer in hand. Dan's career began in fast-paced settings that included roles in human resources at SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Studios, and the Hilton Resort on Disney property.
Shortly after Dan's transition into a career services position at the University of Central Florida (UCF), his love for public speaking came alive. As an often-requested speaker, Dan delivered high-energy inspiring talks on various job search and personal development topics at fraternities, sororities, classes, and clubs. At UCF, Dan's passion for making a difference led to the nomination as a Student Affairs Outstanding Employee of the Year Finalist.
Dan has been a guest speaker at Duke University, North Carolina State University, Wake County Lifelong Learning, Wake Forest University, Wake Tech Community College, Capital Area Workforce Development, the YMCA, and three continuing education programs. In June of this year, he had a blast firing up and inspiring an audience of more than 1,700 at a college graduation.
In addition to relishing in opportunities to use his gifts as a public speaker, Dan has emceed youth talent shows that raised money for mission trips that provided relief for disadvantaged families. Based in Raleigh, Dan will travel anywhere to inspire others at colleges, conferences, high schools, and youth employment programs.
Dan worked as a consultant for nearly 20 years at a global career management firm that offered career transition assistance to established professionals. His love for inspirational speaking and workshop facilitation was put to great use while leading hundreds of interactive workshops that focused on interview preparation, networking strategies, and resume development. Dan found his work in career consulting to be extremely rewarding.
Dan is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and incorporates it into workshops and individual coaching.
